Iorizzo è solito trascurare la resa del dettaglio e al contrario affida tutto ad una pennellata (o spatolata) che potremmo benissimo definire sommaria e veloce, che regala all’interlocutore l’effetto sorpresa di un volto immortalato in un’espressione improvvisa e a volte accentuata da capelli al vento, da labbra chirurgicamente ritoccate o da un pearcing particolare. Ma c’è un altro particolare che incanta chi osserva: la protagonista dell’opera guarda sempre qualcuno o qualcosa che noi non vediamo. Chi guarda? Cosa guarda? Qual è il messaggio che trapela o che sentiamo scivolare intimamente dentro di noi? Non avete la sensazione che ogni volto ritratto da Michelino Iorizzo abbia qualcosa da raccontare?
/ Iorizzo usually neglects the rendering of detail and on the contrary entrusts everything to a brushstroke (or spatula) that we could very well define summary and quick, which gives the interlocutor the surprise effect of a face immortalized in a sudden expression and sometimes accentuated by hair in the wind, from surgically retouched lips or from a particular pearcing.
