Mateo Bories

Born in France in 1985, Mateo questions the perception of the world around us and the impact of tradition on our Western societies. After earning a Masters in Art in Toulouse, he went to Montreal in 2008 to work as a graphic designer. Then he begins a long journey around South America where he still produces and paints murals with the thread of his encounters with him. Back in Montreal he decides to devote himself entirely to art. His practice has always evolved between street and studio, largely influenced by the Street Art movement with total freedom of materials. His humanistic approach aims to reconnect with fundamental inspirations, a bridge to our deep origins and a romanticism erased in our contemporary society. We can see his work in France, Argentina, Canada, the United States, Spain, Mexico, Colombia… / Born in France in 1985, Mateo questions the perception of the world around us and the impact of tradition on our Western societies.
